- The Department’s search engine can only search by permit holder name, which is normally the name of the corporation or insurance company. Many funeral homes sell under a licensed insurance company and are not required to hold a permit with the Department. If your search by funeral home name does not produce any results, please contact the funeral home for the name of the insurance company or trust-funded permit holder they sell through, and conduct a search using that name.
- For funeral homes that hold a trust-funded permit with the Department, be sure to conduct your search using the corporate or firm name and not an assumed name. If your search is unsuccessful and you believe that the entity is a permit holder, you may do the search using the city field.
