Whereas, The Buckholts State
Bank, Buckholts, Texas, operating under Charter #190-12 opened for business on
April 20, 1907, with initial capitalization of $20,000;
and
Whereas, The Buckholts State Bank,
Buckholts, Texas, has maintained its headquarters in Buckholts, Texas,
for 100 years and has extended its rich heritage to the
communities of Cameron, Texas, and Rogers,
Texas; and
Whereas, The Buckholts State Bank,
Buckholts, Texas, proudly displays its original bank name as a symbol of
its dedication to the communities of Milam and Bell Counties
and its accomplished performance through economic crises
such as the Texas banking crisis of the 1980’s.
Today it stands as a strong friend; and
Whereas, The Buckholts State Bank,
Buckholts, Texas, is recognized by the Texas Department of Banking as a
pioneer state-chartered financial institution in Texas,
committed to providing a superior level of customer service
that encompasses the bank’s principles and the
communities’ values; and
Whereas, The Buckholts State Bank,
Buckholts, Texas, has total assets of approximately $45 million as of December
31, 2006, reflecting strong performance and capable management.
Now, Therefore, Be it Resolved, that
the Texas Department of Banking congratulates and extends
appreciation to The Buckholts State Bank, Buckholts,
Texas, and its shareholders,
directors, officers and employees for 100 years of service
and contributions to the citizens of the Great State
of Texas.
